CB radios are not only fun, they're still a great way to stay in touch for RV'ers when traveling in more than vehicle.  When you're heading out to the rural areas that don't have adequate cell coverage, you can still stay in touch via your CBs!   Not to mention the minutes you could be saving if you're not on an unlimited plan.

Even if traveling in a single vehicle, if you need assistance and are in an area without cell coverage, a CB's channel 9 just might come in handy!  I still remember the time we had vehicle trouble after leaving Silver Springs in FL.  Had it not been for a good samaritan who was monitoring CB radio's  "Emergency Channel 9", there's no telling how long we would have been stranded.
